The Dept. of Telecommunication started in year 1999 is committed to develop engineering with high standard of professionalism. It provides a conducive atmosphere for the student to have their technical and leadership skills. It boasts of dedicated faculty members who strive for academic excellence of students. Apart from academics, the department also lays thrust on the holistic development of students. ''TEA'' (Telecommunication Engineers' Association) is a technical forum of TCE department which nourishes the talent and innovative and technical skills of the students. Also the form plans to have technology club and science exhibition. Students are also encouraged to carry out mini-projects in the department lab. The faculty members are also encouraged to participate in workshop/ Technical seminars hosted by VTU, other colleges and MNCs. Development Program such as Infosys Campus connect and Mission 10X. Mission 10X, initiated by Azim Premji Foundation on innovative teaching methodologies. we are also planning to conduct technical seminar by subject experts and also workshops. The department leaves no stone unturned in producing Telecommunication engineers who will carve a niche in today's highly competitive world.
The department has full fledged lab facilities as per VTU Syllabus
and planning to have separate computer centre for projects and research work.

The laboratories are equipped with a whole range of Analog and Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzer, Advanced DSP Trainer Kits, Signal Generator, H/F AM and FM Signal Generator, Microwave test benches, Fiber optical kits, software packages like, MATLAB 7.1 version, XILINX software, Office2007 Software along with more than 40 number of computers.
TEA(Telecommunication Engineers' Association) Students forum organizes workshops, seminars, technical talk by students and guest lectures by subject experts from industry and academia. TEA recently conducted seminars on "ROBOTICS EVERYWHERE" by Dr. G Venkatesh and "SATELLITE COMMUNICATION" by eminent scientist Dr. P. K. Jain from ISRO, who is also in "Chandrayana Mission" team.
Online Class room has facility of integrating idea of student and experts using 40
advance configured nodes which is mainly used for interaction on advanced technolgies.
It also facilitates video conferencing from VTU on EDUSAT programmes.
