The Department of CS&E is established in the year 1997 right from the inception of the institution with an objective of imparting quality technical education. Presently, the department has an approved intake of 60 . The dept. has highly qualified, experienced & dedicated faculty committed to impart technical knowledge using advanced pedagogic methodologies.

The Dept. has conducted workshops for the faculty of engg. Colleges in advanced topics like Software Architecture. The Dept. also conducts activities like orientation program, guest lectures, seminars for the purpose to keep in pace with the latest trends for the benefit of staff and students like Linux Tool programming, E-Teaching methods in IIIT-B, .NET Technology, Symbian OS, C# & .NET and Microsoft .NET certification & Internship
Online Class room has facility of integrating idea of student and experts using 40 advance configured nodes which is mainly used for interaction on advanced technolgies. It also facilitates video conferencing from VTU on EDUSAT programmes.
Von Nuemann center lab is used for development of programs using C, C++, Java, C# .NET, etc.
Chomsky Center is mainly used for database applications and simulation packages.
Charles Babbage Center lab is used for hardware programming and assembly language programming.
The Dept. of CSE maintains dept. library with 100 volumes of 45 titled Books for the benefit of staff and students. It also maintains previous semester project reports, mini project reports, seminar reports and Questions papers of last 3 yrs.
There are different Committees in the college who help the student in addressing their personal problems and who mentor the students as and when required. We also counsel the students on the career and education aspects. The performances of the students are recorded and parents are updated of their ward$s appraisal.
