The Basic Sciences Dept started functioning from the day the college started in the year 1997 and has today grown to be a strong pillar of the college, relentlessly laying a strong foundation to the academic growth and human values of the engineers-to-be.

The department is staffed with a team of 13 expert faculties with a rich experience.

The department comprises the following streams of study:

• Mechanical Engineering (Fundamentals)
• Humanities
• Constitution of India & Professional Ethics

• Kannada

   The Department has well equipped and sophisticated Lab facilities as per the norms, prescribed by VTU

• Physics Laboratory
• Chemistry Laboratory
• CAED Lab
• Workshop

   The Labs provide full range of equipment, apparatus and Computers that are required to conduct experiments and tests, and gain practical experiences to the Engineering Students

   

   There are different Committees in the college who help the student in addressing their personal problems and who mentor the students as and when required. We also counsel the students on the career and education aspects. The performances of the students are recorded and parents are updated of their ward$s appraisal.

   The department has highly qualified and experienced staff committed to overall development. Two of the them are Doctorates and 2 others pursuing Doctorates. Others with post graduate degrees in various disciplines. Six of the faculties have undergone the Faculty Empowerment Training which is an initiative of Azim Premji Foundation (wipro).

Called Mission 10 x. Most of the faculties have 100% results to their credit.

All the Faculties of this department are the members of Indian Society for Technical Education.
